Matrix Grof
According to analysts, child birth is the first birth trauma being experienced by the child. It is so strong, that affects the rest of his life. Stanislaf Grof, argued that certain personality traits, character traits, behavior and our subsequent psychological problems are directly related to the birth process. He identified several stages of labor - 4 basic perinatal matrices:
* contractions (matrix 1)
* passage through the birth canal (matrix 2)
* own labor (matrix 3)
* primary contact with the mother (matrix 4)
Formation of a person's identity for life based on the fact of the challenges faced kid at a certain stage of birth, or, conversely, how successful they have been passed.
In order to solve the "adult" problems, Grof entered their patients into a state similar to trance, and made the experience of birth trauma over and over again - as long as all four stages have been successfully completed. This procedure was carried out using a specially developed his method of Holotropic Breathwork. (Special breathing technique, which is somewhat reminiscent of hyperventilation.)
