The development of your toddler of 22 months

It sets goals

Your toddler or baby begins to know what he wants to succeed, such as pushing his car on the way or all the pieces of a puzzle. The result is important for him. He'll be glad if he succeeds, and frustrated if it fails.

Fears of toddler

It is natural to be afraid for some toddlers. It may be that your baby is frightened by real people, as strangers, or unreal creatures, as monsters. Help your child overcome his fears. Take them seriously. Tell your toddler that you understand them, and you are proud of its efforts to be brave.

Left or right handed?

You may have noticed that your toddler begins to prefer one hand over the other. This is genetically determined: 5 to 10% of the population is left handed. Approximately 20% of children are ambidextrous and do not show preference for right or left hand.

Passage through a bed of large

Better to move to a big bed before your child is able to climb his crib alone, it is likely to happen to 22 months. For a smooth transition, involve your child to choose his or her bed linens. Make her comfortable and enjoyable. The first months may be difficult. It may come out of bed as soon as you left the room, where he will visit you in your bed at night. Be patient, your toddler will eventually get used to it.
