Newborn
Well, your miracle happened, and you are a mother and father! While all this seems overwhelming, your baby is less fragile than you think. In many ways, he is able to help you become good parents, and he will do by letting you know its needs. Present, its main needs are food, sleep and healing. He learns that the world is a reliable place to meet its needs. If you are breast-feeding, you will provide a supply of milk that is perfectly adapted to its nutrient requirements and protect against germs in their environment. Continue with breastfeeding as much as possible, and find the help you need to get started. Be sure to regularly check the weight of your baby.
Caring for your baby and yourself (especially mom) while you fit all your new roles will demand all your energy during those first weeks. You and your baby will learn then you know better. Newborns do not play again, but they take pleasure in exploring the world with their eyes, ears and body. Take time to talk to your baby when it is shaped. He already knows your voice from the time he was in your womb, the voices of Mom and Dad will be comforting for the baby. It is between 8 and 10 inches as the field of view of the Baby is clearer - or roughly the distance that lies between your arms and your face. Watch him closely when you hold it, and it will monitor you while you cuddle, talk to him and sing him something. Remember, the best conditions for your baby to sleep are: be on your back, do not be too wrapped, do not be in a room too hot, exclude from the place where he sleeps all fluffy bedding.
The first week will be very demanding, so spend your time taking care of your baby and yourself and you know each other. Make sure there is a minimum of unnecessary visitors, and do not worry about household chores. At three weeks you will notice that you and your baby learn to quickly get used to each other and have a routine.
